Hatchcover Productions is an audio production and music support service which includes live concert recording, editing, light mastering, radio program production, copy writing and more. Jim Wilke is a veteran radio producer and recording engineer who has produced hundreds of hours of live and recorded music programs for local and network shows including PRI, NPR, Sirius, NBC, and numerous CDs and demos.
Among the many artists he has worked with are Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Modern Jazz Quartet, Jim Hall, Cannonball Adderley, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Woody Herman, Ray Charles, Horace Silver, Art Blakey, Johnny Mandel, Fred Hersch, Bill Holman, Matt Wilson and many others. Jim is a member of The Recording Academy (NARAS) and the Jazz Journalists Association.
Recording credits include more than two dozen CDs ranging from solo piano to big bands and including both jazz and classical music. Jim has also written liner notes/CD booklets for a similar number of projects. A partial list of credits is available on request.
